Adding an External URL learning activity lets you link to web pages outside of Learner Community and pull them in as part of a learning product. Any valid URL can be used, allowing the learner to navigate around the web page. Note: The External URL activity will be marked complete as soon as it is launched, because there is no way to track any information other than that the page has been displayed to the learner.
- Click the
button and choose the External URL option. - Create a Title for the Activity.
- Enter a Short Description. The description will display beneath the Activity Title when a learner views enrollment details.
- Enter the URL for the web page you'd like learners to link to. It's recommended to use https:// for all URLs (unless the endpoint fails when it's requested with https).
URLs that start with http:// or https:// or // or / will redirect to the specified URL, while others will be prefixed with // so the redirect will use whatever protocol the main page is operating under. - Click
to save changes and exit, or 
to discard changes and exit.
