Learner Detail - Permissions
After granting a learner administrator rights, the Permissions tab is where you give them access to various functions in the Admin Dashboard. The admin functions on the Staging site differ in many ways than the functions on the Live site. Staging is where you create and maintain your products and site pages, and then publish them to the live site. The Live Admin Dashboard is where you work with actual learners and live products. You will need to grant admin rights and set permissions for accounts on both the Staging and Live portal, depending on where the account exists. Staging accounts and permissions are NOT automatically transferred to the live portal.
- Manage Website: Admin can create and edit site pages, menus and site domains and publish the site to Live.
- Manage Video Library: Admin can upload videos and manage the video library.
- Manage Products: Admin can create, edit and publish all types of products.
- Manage Product Sections: Admin can manage and create sections for testing purposes on Staging.
- Manage Subscription Definitions: Admin can create, edit and publish subscriptions. Products will need to be added by admins on the Live site.
- Manage LTI Tool Providers: Admin can add and edit LTI Tool Providers to be used in Learning Product activities.
- Manage Webinar Providers: Admin can add and edit Webinar Providers to be used in Learning Product activities.
- Manage Assignments: Admin can create, edit and enable assignments for testing purposes on Staging.
- Manage Enrollment Codes: Admin can create and edit enrollment codes and enrollment code admins for testing purposes on Staging.
- Manage Learners: Admin can search for and manage learner accounts on the Staging portal only.
- Manage Experts: Admin can add and edit experts to be used in Learning Product and Conference descriptions.
- Reports: Admin can run all available reports for review purposes on Staging. No Live data will be included in Staging reports.
- Manage Notifications: Admin can create notifications for the Staging portal for testing purposes.
- Manage Badges: Admin can create, edit, publish and enable badges.
- Manage Communities: Admin can create, edit and publish your community.
- Manage Export Clients: Admin can add, edit and manage export clients and the learning products that are being exported. Export Clients should be added on the Live site and are available in Staging for testing purposes.
- Manage Product Sections: Admin can add and edit product sections, including scheduling live classrooms and webinars and designating section admins.
- Manage Subscription Definitions: Admin can add published learning products to subscriptions.
- Manage Assignments: Admin can create, edit and enable assignments that will assign products to learners.
- Manage Enrollment Codes: Admin can create, edit and manage enrollment codes that will be distrubuted to learners.
- Manage Learners: Admin can search for and manage learner accounts.
- Reports: Admin can run all available reports on live data.
- Manage Notifications: Admin can create and edit sitewide notifications.
- Manage Export Clients: Admin can add, edit and manage export clients and the learning products that are being exported
