Vendor Exclusions

Vendor Exclusions FAQ:

  • Click the  button to add a new Vendor. Enter the vendor name and click .
  • To edit a vendor, click on the name, make your change and click the  button to save. Note that editing a name will make a new exclusion check request.
  • The Manage Vendors list shows all vendors as well as the number of hit results and ignored hits.
  • Vendor hits will be listed first under the Hit Results column. The column will be empty for vendors without hits.
  • Click the View link next to the vendor's name to view the results. The "View" link will not appear next to vendors with no results.
    • A “Result” is only a potential match. You must verify the results. See below for additional information.
    • Click the  button if you do not want to receive notifications about this hit in the future.
      • To undo the ignore, click on the View link in the Ignored Hits column and then click the  button. Click on Manage Vendors in the main left navigation to return to the Vendor list.
  • Move the  botton in the Status column to Off to disable exclusions for a vendor.
  • Vendor Exclusions are run shortly after adding a new vendor and are re-run once a month as long as the vendor remains active with Vendor Exclusions enabled.
  • Each Group administrator will receive an email notification when checks are performed.

Vendor exclusions are checked against the Government Services Administration's (GSA) SAM database. GSA is the agency responsible for oversight of federal contracts, and it maintains a list of parties excluded from doing business with the federal government.

Hits must be verified manually online through the OIG and the GSA verification system.

Note: A “Result” is only a potential match. You must verify the results. To confirm or obtain additional information, contact the agency that took the action against the listed party.
